Evelina Arapidi
Evelina is a vocalist, actress, movement artist and teacher whose work includes anthropological performance research and she is traveling the globe extensively in search of different cultural perspectives on the body, voice and the ritual of performance. She has created metamorφosis, a method of acting and performing based on breathing.
She is the artistic director of the Music Theatre Company EUTOPIA.
She is a recipient of the Best Actress award for her role in the performance Pietá (International Theater Festival AndriyivskyFest, Kiev, 2018).
Evelina was born in Athens. She graduated from the Department of Theater Studies in the National University of Athens and studied acting in the Drama School of the Greek Art Theater - Karolos Koun. She is also an owner of the certificate of Tadashi Suzuki - Method of Actor.
Since she has been working in the theater, collaborating with the National Theater of Greece, the Greek Art Theater - Karolos Koun, the Attis Theatre, the Technochoros, The Athens Concert Hall, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, the City Hall of New York City, the Ancient Theatre of Delphi, the Ancient Odeum of Paphos. She has worked under the direction of many prominent directors, such as T. Terzopoulos, G.Lazanis, M.Kougioumtzis, D. Chronopoulos, G. Kontrafouris, G. Kakleas, L.Koniordou, T. Lygari, E. Papakonstantinou, G.Stefanakidis, È.A. Gonzales.
She has appeared in numerous performances of Greek Ancient Drama: Trojan Women by Euripides, Electra by Sophocles, Orestes by Euripides, Medea by Euripides, Lysistrata by Aristophanes.
She has also taken part in plays of classical and modern repertoire, such as As you like it by W. Shakespeare, Suddenly Last Summer by T. Williams, Innocence by D. Locher, Niobe, Pietá, Free Besieged by G. Stefanakidis, Frida/Frida by È. A Gonzales, A Homer by B.Behan, Women of Passion - Women of Greece by E. Arsenis, etc.
She represented Greece in the Theatre Olympics 2018 in India, performing in the English language the monologue Women of Passion - Women of Greece.
She has also worked as a film actor: Eleatis Ksenos by D.Theos, The Dance of Dead Roses by G. Aiolou, Matriarchy by N.Kornilios, The old Curiosity Shop by Ruth Kjaer by A. Siokou) and she has appeared in TV series.
She has also worked for more than ten years as a voice actor for documentaries and compilations.

She is the creator of metamorφosis, an original practice for actors, performers, and individuals seeking personal and artistic development. Rooted in breath, presence, and embodied awareness, the method integrates voice work, movement training, meditation, and performance techniques to cultivate authenticity, creativity, and self-expression.
Evelina is the Artistic Director of the EUTOPIA Music Theatre Company, through which she develops interdisciplinary performances, workshops, and artistic collaborations that bring together theatre, music, movement, and contemporary ritual practices.
In 2018, she received the Best Actress Award at the AndriyivskyFest in Kyiv, Ukraine, for her performance in Pietà.
Born in Athens, Greece, Evelina graduated from the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and trained as an actor at the Karolos Koun Greek Art Theatre Drama School. She is also certified in the renowned Suzuki Method of Actor Training, developed by Tadashi Suzuki.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with major cultural institutions and performance venues, including the National Theatre of Greece, the Karolos Koun Greek Art Theatre, the Attis Theatre, the Athens Concert Hall, the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, the New York City Hall, the Ancient Theatre of Delphi, and the Odeon of Paphos.
She has worked under the direction of distinguished theatre-makers including Theodoros Terzopoulos, George Lazanis, Lydia Koniordou, Tatiana Lygari, Elli Papakonstantinou, and other notable contemporary directors.
Her stage work includes leading roles in Ancient Greek drama such as The Trojan Women, Electra, Orestes, Medea, and Lysistrata. Her repertoire also spans classical and contemporary theatre, including As You Like It, Suddenly, Last Summer, Innocence, Niobe, Pietà, Free Besieged, Frida/Frida, A Homer, and Women of Passion – Women of Greece.
In 2018, she represented Greece at the Theatre Olympics 2018, performing in English the acclaimed solo work Women of Passion – Women of Greece.
Alongside her theatre work, Evelina has appeared in feature films, short films, and television productions, collaborating with filmmakers from Greece and abroad. She has also worked extensively as a voice artist for more than a decade, lending her voice to documentaries, audiobooks, cultural productions, and multimedia projects.
Today, her artistic practice continues to evolve through performance creation, international collaborations, teaching, and research, guided by a deep interest in the body as a living archive of memory, imagination, and transformation.
